Clides – The Watery Planet
Akats: Many believe this species came from an experimentation with coral, large squid, and druid blood. With their multicolored upper torso that resembles a druid elf, to their horn-like formations coming from the top of their head, and the many tentacle-like legs that come from their bottom half, the creatures cannot survive out of water. An Akats are usually two to three colors, most blending in with the water for better camouflage. It's common for tentacles to come from their head as if it were hair, but the newer generation rarely ever have such an image. Clothing is nonexistent in their eyes, finding it pointless to wear a shirt beneath water. They now roam, and rule, the waters of the Clide planet. Akats are curious wanderers by nature, always wanting to venture somewhere new. However, they rarely stay packed together, spacing out due to sharp tongues and dangerously high tempers.

Chreo: Related to the extinct mermaid, these pixie-like mermaids are gifted with the ability of light. The creatures had been an experimentation of the two, decades ago, and its results accidentally spilled overboard and now roam the large massive sea. It is possible for these creatures to survive out of water, but they need to venture in some sort of lake, sea, or bath, at least once a day or their skin will dry out and they will then turn into dust upon the ground. Curious little vixens, they keep together in tight packs for they can use their light to either draw in a victim for food or breeding, or simply scare off an enemy by blinding them long enough to scatter. They usually use their skills against sailors, luring them to their death at night.

Creot: Once, an Akats had fallen for a sailor, unbeknownst of his wizardry abilities. With a squid-like bottom half and a human upper form, the only difference between a Akats and a Creot are as follows: Creots have curled horns coming from their heads, making it look as if they have curled hair. They also only have tentacles coming from their bottom half, nowhere else. These creatures are looked down upon by Akats, claiming that was a shame to their kind by mixing with a wizard. Creots are friendly, unlike their relatives, and will willingly go up to humans in ships and speak with them. However, like Akats, their tempers are hot and should be approached with caution.

Eoraf: Many believe an elf had fallen in love with a shark shifter, thus beginning the Eoraf species. Deadly, yet beautifully elegant, these creatures are highly valued in capturing. Unlike their relation with sharks, Eorafs are easy-going and calm, only attacking for food when must. They are able to grace land and water with zero difficulty, their fins shrinking when out of their natural home. These creatures can come in any gender.

Grynnu: Watchers of the sea, they are the closest to descendants for mermaids and humans mixed. They protect the seas, but not from the water. Unlike their relative, Grynnu are born with a human set of legs, allowing them to grace the land with their strange gifts. Fish-like scaling show along their upper thighs, and their hands (when in water) connect. The creature's eyes are usually what gives them away far more easier than others, for they're usually a bright orange and yellow. Silent and judgmental, they once had high authority, royalty, and respect in the waters. Now, many of the creatures considers this to be a scorn on their existence. However, Grynnu believe they are still better and are the only ones capable of protecting the waters.

Nagad: This mysterious creature was found in 1500 BC, it's strange colored skin and beauty striking sailors from day one. Many assume this creature was formed by experimentation between coral, human DNA, and an ancient mermaid. However, they also resemble an octopus as well, so the assumptions are naturally unsure. With innocent faces and wide large eyes (that are completely one color), a Nagad are highly sought out to find and look upon at least once in someone's life. Like Eoraf, Nagads are able to live in and out of the water. The females are usually graced with narrow hips and a smaller rack, while the men are lanky and thin. Out of the water, Nagad females usually stand at about 5'6” the highest, while their men can only reach to 6', no more. With a calming personality, these creatures can be quite friendly. It takes a lot to anger one, but when they are, it's like winter freezing over. They do not forgive, and they certainly do not forget.

Obels: These creatures are the most rare to be seen. Out of water, they form into beautiful men, but in the water, they turn into a burst of light-like a formation mixing of mist and ghost. While in water, they're able to control the flow of water, moving it and forcing it into ways others cannot. But out of water, their ability turns into frost, it actually causing their skin to have a blue tint to it. Many don't realize that these creaturse are perfectly capable of living outside the water, and many of them actually do. The only way one might discover how to tell if someone if an Obels is by the color of their blood, it being a midnight blue when reaching oxygen. Untamed and truly not much knowledge on, it makes the Obels a huge, yet very dangerously untrained, weapon of destruction.

Shors: Decades ago, an immortal vampire had been venturing about upon Clides, using the sea as his voyage, when he had been graced one night as his eyes landed on a group of mermaids near the shore. It became his mission to find one of them and breed, wanting to create an immortal creation that was far more deadly than he. It had taken him months to prepare for this, he bringing along the most gullible of sailors for the mermaids to capture and consume. And while they had been distracted, the vampire grabbed one of the younger mermaids and brought it onto the ship. Keeping the creature in water, he found a way to rape the young terrified teenager, he doing so every night until she began to show a bump. This child that grew began to devour its mother from the inside out, killing the girl during labor and thus, the child being nourished with it's mother's blood and bone. The vampire then called this creation “Shors”. With its' sharp long fangs and the body of a mermaid, he then allowed it into the water once it accepted him as her father. A shors can only be female, and they are fiercely dangerous. It's hunger is large, and it can, and will, eat anyone in its path. Tending to stick alone, these creatures are highly hunted down, making the Shors creatures learning to hide in plain sight, teaching itself to venture on land for short periods of time.
